I have come to this earth to perform actions,
for, this world is a field of action.

Sitting idle and sleeping,
turning stationary,
is not the flow of life.

O Lord Krsna,
whatever You did,
with the cutting disc
and arrows in hands,
that immortal history and everlasting glory,
remains flowing in memory.

There is no scope to pause,
for, by Your attraction. all move.
The stories of the times of Kuruksetra and Dvaepayan
ever resonate full of song.

Kuruksetra is the place where the Mahabharata war was fought 3500 years ago.

Dvaepayan is the author of the Mahabharata and the person who first wrote down the ancient Vedas. He also wrote 18 Puranas. His full name is Krsna Dvaepayana Vyasa but he is also know by the name of Veda Vyasa.
