You are the Cosmic effulgence,
and I am but the glow of a firefly.
What can I tell about my meagre endeavour before You?
You are the Brahma Kamal, the divine lotus,
and I am just a dirty blade of grass.
How may I get coloured by Your colour? Tell me.
Come into my mind and love.
Softly smile in the garden of kadamba.
Forgetting my shortcomings,
I float in the water of thoughts,
in diverse colours, at the shore of life.
You remain hidden,
without ever even opening Your eyes.
Despite my hundreds of calls,
You do not respond.
With tears in my eyes,
I drift away without shore in sight.
Yet on keen observation,
I see You sitting on the mountain top.
