O Lord, I went to You only to seek. Even by mistake I did not tell that I am giving You my
offering. I have been thinking about my own self centered matters and only looked for own
purification. I continued performing the japa (recitations) tapa (austerity), nya’sa
(ritualistic impressions), pra’n’aya’m (breath control) and claiming the sweet
eatable meant for offering, bow down as salutation. But within the mind, different thought
and upon the lips Your name. I did not want in heart, O the attributed Lord, come. By
blowing conch, I kindled incense and lamp. In hundreds of postures, I performed lamp
waving. With the sound of bell, I brought liveliness, but never I saw that Your altar was
empty.
