From the sky, the sound of the dambaru drum resounds.
Who is that Rudra who has come today?

His long and matted tuft of hair has opened up.
He has dressed Himself for performing the tandava dance.

Visana is being blown with frightening sound.
Engrossed in which thought is Pinakii dancing?
He awakens all with lightening speed,
striking thunders on the peaks of mountains.

O Lord Shiva,
pause a while.
Distribute Your divinity to all.
Whatever You want, we shall give.
Please accept it.

O tranquil Lord Shiva,
king of the three worlds!
O holder of Ganga,
O king of dance!
