Listen,
O reddish-coloured tender leaf,
tell me who has sent you?

For whom do you carry the message of the new,
and what have you brought this morning?

Resistances and obstructions
will surround you from all sides,
turning you into a mature leaf
and eventually let you drop.

O brother,
whatever storm and wind may come,
I shall fight against them and move forward.
This is all what I want.

This morning,
on the path of my journey,
I pay my salutations to all.

----------------------------------------
O red coloured, newly opened leaf, please listen.
Tell me who has sent You here.
You - the harbinger of the new,
what have You brought this morning and for whom?

Obstacles and hurdles will encircle me.
The green leaves will fade and drop on the ground

Let the storms and cyclones come as they may.
I'll fight all obstacles and march ahead.
On this very morning at the beginning of my journey,
I extend my salutation (pranam) to all.
