O Lord,
You came at such untimely hour.
The whole day through I had been calling You,
stubbornly keeping my door open.
Could You not hear my call?
Even after hearing it,
You did not pay any attention to it.
Tired of the whole day,
I slept imagining being on Your lap.
And it was then that You came in the darkness.
It might have been my adamancy.
I might not have had the merit to attain You,
Yet, with the hope of obtaining Your grace,
I had called You.
You then mercifully came to me.
