the All virtuous, life's rarest gem.

How unfortunate I am
to have not consumed
even a drop
of that ocean of love."

O shame! I have lived my life in vain,
I neglected to serve my Beloved Lord.
He came within my grasp
and yet
I could not attain Him,
I could not contain Him
within my fickle heart's breath.

Cruel fate has meted me out this pitiful lot.
Within my grasp He came
and yet
that supreme treasure
I could not attain,
I could not devote myself to Him.

Today I will start anew.
Today I will pledge a vow
to honour Him.

Today, I will dedicate my all
to follow Him
to serve Him
to know Him.
