Ta dhin Ta dhin Ta dhin!
Today the very embodiment of sound (Shiva)
is dancing Tandava.
Atoms dance around the shining ankle bells of His feet.
His dambaru – double-sided drum - rings out.
His face is grave, casting a stern glance.
His serpent gem quivers across the strata.
Gods and demons bend their knee to Him.
The dance of sins will not go on!
The pious will no longer be terror-stricken.
The civil, gentle people will be at peace.
Fire will afflict those who do evil.
