You loved me
but I did not love You.
You removed my darkness
but I didn’t want to move towards effulgence.
Into the fragrance of flowers,
into the expression of life’s vitality,
You poured vibrations,
like an intoxicating spring.
You coloured me with hue
and poured beauty onto me,
but I didn’t want to take this beauty.
You told me not to fear
as You possessed Varabhaya
and hence, I could attain fearlessness under Your shelter.
You furthermore told me to open my eyes
and see and learn in a new way.
And yet, I still did not open my eyes to see.
