O Lord Krsna, would you not come again at the dark and cloudy hour of the night? O
my beloved, the embodiment of of divine qualities, would not the dark prison house of
Mathura be lit again? Maddened with your sweet name the herds of cows would no more be all
ears to listen to your flute. In the beautiful palace of king Nanda, nights would be no
more be as illuminating as before. Waves would no more rise up in the waters of yamuna. No
one would chance to get a glimpse of of your sin dark colour. The groves of tamala and
kadamba trees would no more see the gopiis dancing around all the time.
